2019 ASCEND Scholarship Awarded to UB Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences Students

The leadership at Triad Healthcare Recruiting worked with the University at Buffalo office of the Vice President of Health Sciences Scholarship Committee, Michael E. Cain, MD, Vice President for Health Sciences and Dean, Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, in selecting two inaugural recipients of the ASCEND Academic Scholarship. The 2019 ASCEND Scholarship has been awarded to Neil Basumallik and Moudi Hubeishy, both in their final year at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
Neil spoke at the ASCEND Healthcare Career Development and Distinguished Speaker Program on November 5, 2019 where he was recognized by Michael E. Cain, MD, Vice President for Health Sciences and Dean, Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and the leadership at Triad Healthcare Recruiting.
The scholarships were unrestricted, merit-based Academic Scholarships under Triad Healthcare Recruiting’s ASCEND program. Neil and Moudi competed in a pool of 42 highly achieved University at Buffalo candidates representing medicine, nursing, occupational therapy, pharmacy, and physical therapy for the ASCEND Academic Scholarship. These two young men embody the spirit of service to others.
